Family cooking: chicken with mustard and white wine

We know that many of you are spending more time in the kitchen these days. Enjoying a good wine while preparing a new dish for the family, partner, or yourself. So today, we’re here to help!

We present a recipe that has left us drooling and that we’re going to prepare right now at Cocinahogar: chicken with mustard in white wine. It’s so simple that you can encourage the little ones to join you in the kitchen for a while. Let’s get to it!

Ingredients for 1 person:

  • 300 grams of chicken (portion for one person). If you like it juicier, you can use the hindquarters, but the breast will always be available.
  • ½ Zucchini.
  • 1 Spring onion.
  • 100 ml of white wine.
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard.
  • 1 tablespoon of cream cheese. If you don’t have any at home, don’t go out to buy it! You can use a tablespoon of cream or 5 tablespoons of milk.
  • 3 tablespoons of liquid cream.
  • Salt.
  • Pepper.
  • Ground cayenne pepper, optional.

The simplest preparation:

  1. First, wash the zucchini well and chop both the zucchini and the spring onion into small pieces.
  2. Heat your pan with a little olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Cut the chicken into pieces and add them to the pan when it’s hot enough. Let them brown for a few minutes, turning them occasionally.
  4. When they’re golden brown, add the zucchini and onion and season to taste for a minute.
  5. It’s time to reduce with white wine for 2 or 3 minutes!
  6. When the wine has evaporated, lower the heat of your pan and add the cream cheese, mustard, and cream. Mix well and let it cook for 10 minutes!
  7. Add the ground cayenne pepper, optional.
  8. Ready! Isn’t it easy? Super quick and delicious. We assure you. Now think about how you can serve it. It can be with baked or fried potatoes, or if you prefer something lighter, a tasty and fresh salad.
